A Journeying into the Great Mystery
“And because I love this life, I know I shall love death too.”
— Rabindranath Tagore
I am offering this short post to encourage those who have been drawn to this exploration into the great mystery, but for all the many reasons the mind can create, haven’t yet taken the step to register.
My experience in this retreat is that it shares many similarities with plant medicine journeys. We realize that we — and life itself — are so much larger than we had previously imagined. This recognition awakens our life-force like nothing else.
Instead of plant medicine, which many are averse to for various reasons, we use self-inquiry, meditation, healing sound, and release practices to enter non-ordinary states of consciousness. And like plant medicine journeys, we show up with humility and a willingness to go beyond what we previously knew about ourselves and life.
The entire journey is one of self-discovery. Who are we, really, beyond our body and our stories?
Taking the first step to show up for this — or any unknown realm — is always the hardest. It takes courage to face the unknown. And then we see…
“…simply by entering the circle, we re-discover our great love of the wild, unknown places within us…”
There is still space to join our upcoming retreat. In the meantime, enjoy this recent podcast that answers some questions you may have.
